It is still possible to hire a Motorhome from Omni Leisure Ltd if you have penalty points on your licence.

All penalty points must be declared at time of booking when submitting your driver details form. Failure to do so is an offence and could invalidate your insurance and result in your rental being cancelled. As a result of the DVLA changes to Counterpart of driving licenses, we will need you to obtain a ‘Code’ from the DVLA (Click HERE to get code), which last only 21 days to enable us to check with the DVLA. This will be part of the hand over process on delivery. Please ensure that you remember to time this accurately with the start of your hire period.

The limit is that you have no more than two convictions with a maximum of 3 points per conviction, has not been involved in more than one fault incident within the last three years and has not obtained a BA, DD or UT conviction.

A ‘European Travel Pack’ is mandatory and you will be in breach of our terms and conditions should you take our Motorhome into Europe without hiring this. The Stanway and Warwick Duo are identical in their dimensions. Their body is 5998 mm in length (without a bike carrier), 2640 mm in height (including. TV aerial), 2508 mm width (with mirrors extended).

We get asked about fuel consumption regularly! The good news is that all our vehicles form a modern fleet with the latest most fuel-efficient engines.

  • The Stanway and The Warwick Duo, approximately under normal driving conditions a combined of 41.5 MPG.
  • Motorway driving can be as high as 47 MPG.

Omni Leisure Ltd vehicles have two batteries – one to run the engine and the other to operate the living equipment such as the fridge and interior lights 12v sockets etc. Because electricity usage is ‘general’ whilst static it can deplete the engine battery. Be aware to avoid depleting the engine battery unwittingly leaving you stranded!

Batteries will normally remain charged for approximately 8 to 10 hours. When you drive the Motorhome, you will recharge the battery. There is an on-board 80W Solar Panel, which only supplements the leisure battery electric power supply, not the vehicle battery.

If the Leisure battery goes flat you can switch on the engine to recharge it again. You will need to plug the vehicle into 230V mains power for the battery to fully recharge. Obviously if you connected to an electrical hook-up then the leisure battery is on trickle charge and all sockets, including the 230V will function.

*Obviously it would be ‘prudent’ to use as much of the campsite utilities as you can, especially the electrical hook up for the leisure battery and electrical usage. (That’s what you are paying for!).

We do not allow Pets; they are strictly prohibited in all of our vehicles.

We do not allow smoking; it is strictly prohibited in all vehicles.

We allow use of the Motorhome for festivals, rallies and other events; however this will be on a request basis only and will be subject to price increases and or excess payments. We reserve the right to decline the use of the Motorhomes for these types of use.

Our Motorhomes accommodate child seats, provided there is the designated appropriate seat belts available. This varies according to the type of Motorhome hired. Please check with us on this. (Note: Omni Leisure Ltd is not responsible for fitting child seats).

We think the best weather is in May, June and September!

September through to March is a great time to experience outdoor activities such as surfing, walking and cycling.

We advise that some campsites shut late September to mid October through to March.

Some campsites stay open all year. Research the campsites along your planned route for the facilities you require for your trip.
